From 1 July 2022, Profilium will be implementing a price rise across its product range. Updated pricing is shown on the web shop.

General Price Rise commences 1 July 2022

Dear Customers,

As many of you would appreciate given the daily headlines regarding inflationary pressures, the COVID-19 pandemic combined with the Russian invasion of Ukraine has continued to see a broadening of challenges to global supply chains which are resulting in significant cost increases for most business inputs. These pressures have seen delays in obtaining stock, longer transit times for shipping and most significantly, increasing costs of raw materials and freight and logistics. Coupled with a deterioration in the Australian dollar exchange rate, this means that the cost of aluminium profile and accessories will rise.

Global aluminium prices continue to fluctuate, but are constantly around 200% higher than pre-pandemic levels. Importantly, sea-freight costs have increased around 600% for freight delivered ex-works, Italy and around 400% for air-freight shipments EXW Italy.

On 1 January 2022, Alusic pushed through a general price rise of 30% for all new orders which has coincided with the sharpest increases in freight. Similarly as Alusic’s cost pressures have continued into 2022, we were advised on 19 May 2022 that an additional price rise will apply from 1 July 2022 on some items only.

Unfortunately as these are significant cost increases for Profilium, we have no choice but to pass on these costs by way of a general price rise. The general price rise will take effect on 1 July 2022 for all orders received after 11:59pm on 30 June. Updated pricing will be pushed through to the web shop at that time.

If you are a Commercial/ Business customer and you are looking to place regular orders per annum over $20,000 or a single bulk order exceeding $10,000, please contact us to discuss potential discounts off the RRP listed on our web store. While discounts may be modest as we have trimmed our margins to partially offset the general price rises, we will try to assist where possible.

We understand that for many customers these significant price rises may come as a shock. We have tried to minimise impacts where possible by sourcing cheaper freight, trimming our own margins and buying in greater bulk (which affords some small discounts). While these strategies have made some difference, collectively the cost pressures meant we had no choice but to increase our prices to reflect the true costs to our business. Profilium will also be rolling out some additional strategies, such as permitting the purchase of smaller, fixed lengths of some of our most popular profiles as another means to reduce out of pocket costs to our customers.

Profilium regret that global conditions have forced these price rises and thank you for your continued support.
