Aluminium Profile – cut to length
We offer a cut to length service using our dedicated, high speed aluminium saw with laser cutting guide and mill. This is the best method for the home user or a commercial user to obtain the cleanest, most accurate and square cuts of aluminium profile which in turn results in better joints and the most accurate construction of your structure. In general, cutting your profile to your specified lengths often results in a lower freight cost.
The cutting cost is a flat rate of $3.00 per cut.
About our Saw
Our high speed, dedicated aluminium saw has a laser cutting guide that can be set to /- 0.1mm. As the saw will consume profile on each cut, when you are calculating cut lengths, please allow 5 mm of waste per cut.
It’s also worth noting that each bar of profile actually measures 6,040mm (not 6,000mm). The additional 40mm is provides a small waste allowance for cutting the profile.
How do you tell us about your Cutting Requirements?
- Place your order online via our web store. This will generate an Order ID Number.
- For simple instructions, during the Check-Out process you will see a “Comments” field. Simply add a message in the Comments field with your cutting instructions here. For example: Cut 6.0 metre bar into 3 x 2.0 metre lengths. OR
- For more complex cutting instructions, after Check-Out please Download our Cutting List Worksheet and email your Cutting instructions along with your Online Order ID number to email@example.com . We will receive your two emails – an automated Order Confirmation and the email you send with your Cutting Instructions.
- Once the Cutting instructions are received we will have our trades team check them and verify the number of cuts when sending your invoice.
